Herbert Ritsch has been working in the financial industry since 1995, having achieved an Applied Computer Science doctorate from Vienna University of Economics and Business. In fact during his career, different jobs have been occupied by him. For example, he started his career at Treasury Management back in 1990s and then moved to Portfolio Management, Risk Management and Institutional Sales that led him to become Director for Business Ethics at Schelhammer & Schattera Bank and Managing Director at Aquinas Advisory Ltd which a subsidiary of this bank.

Herbert Ritsch is a proven sustainability expert, author of studies and a frequently booked keynote speaker for institutional clients as well as NGOs.

Ritsch has successfully completed the EFFAS ESG Analyst (CESGA®), is a certified portfolio manager and qualified stock exchange trader for securities and derivatives, and has also successfully completed a treasury training course.

He successfully completed the Impact of Globalization course at the London School of Economics and Political Science and the Impact Investing course at the Jindal Center of Social Innovation, India.

Since 2021 he is also an accredited auditor of the Austrian Ecolabel for Financial Products UZ-49.

From August 2022 to May 2023, Ritsch was also EESC Advisor for the European Economic and Social Committee of the European Union.

Since September 2023, Ritsch has been a lecturer in finance and investments at the University of Applied Science, Krems, Austria

Since January 2024 Ritsch is Super Expert at Toloka AI for the domain ESG.
